Presentation by Peter Bray (in aid of Shelterbox) about his 3000 mile canoe crossing of the Atlantic.
Stadden Heights Golf Club (near Mount Batten, PL9 9SP) 1830 for 1900 -two course meal followed by presentation.For 76 days this indomitable Cornishman paddled relentlessly over 3000 miles across one of the most inhospitable oceans in the world, including surviving 37 hours in freezing water. Enduring extreme fatigue, atrocious weather and catastrophic equipment failure, he made landfall on the west coast of Ireland just a few days before 9/1l.
His actual Atlantic Kayak will be on display.
