Dear PPCA,
I write with a request for a live art event taking place in Plymouth 12-2pm friday, saturday and sunday (23rd-25th Sept). The idea is that swimmers wave at the underwater camera and the footage is relayed live onto the Big Screen on Armada Way.
The camera is ~30m just off the Hoe in front of the Marine Biological Association (east of the Lido). I have sent a diagram. I will be there on the 3 days from 11am onwards and my number is 0777 323 8314.
It was suggested to me that you might be able to provide an open water lifeguard for the 3 x 2 hour slots. I have a small budget but would welcome your presence, so would love to talk with you about it if you’re interested.
Devon Wild Swimmers and Plymouth Aquanauts are taking part, and I have a shore-based (first aider) life guard.
