Joy AshfordParticipantAfter many successful camps on the Scillys, the PPCA (Port of Plymouth Canoeing Association) is
organising one for 2016. This will be the last Scillies camp that I (Joy) will be organising for the
club. The camp site at Pelistry on St Mary’s is provisionally booked for two-weeks. Dates; Friday
22nd July to Friday 5th August. You can come for any one or both of these weeks. For those
wishing to Sea Kayak, the first week will have up to whole day coach let trips. The second week
may only have short coach led trips to the other islands (depending on coaching staff availability).
The camp site consists of:- two marquees, ten sleeping tents, wash tents and flushing toilets. There
are also showers available at the adjacent farm. All sleeping tents are provided with floorboards and
mattresses. One marquee has cooking facilities the other has trestle tables and chairs.
The cost of the campsite will be £115 per person per week for each adult and child over 15 years
old. Children over 2 years and under 15 years old will be £57.50 per person per week.

Joy AshfordParticipantTHANK YOU ALL, who joined our trip to the Scillies this year. You made my last time of organising the club trip to the islands most enjoyable. Thanks to Clive for leading the paddles on the first week for me. Also thanks to the milk monitors.
Will put photos up on FB later.
Happy to advise anyone who would like to take over running this trip in future.

ParticipantThanks to all you naughty people that contributed to the rather generous gift you gave me for leading the Scilly paddles. I have put the money towards a new pair of walking shoes so when my feet hurt I can think of you!
Thanks again.
