See the message below, received from Dave Readman of the Tamar Community Trust:

‘Fall in Love with Wacker Quay on Valentine’s Day’: Helping Hands for Heritage practical task day with Dave Readman, on the trail along the River Lynher. Possibility of biscuits.

Valley Volunteers: Heritage & Hands on at Wacker Quay

    Sunday 14th February 2016

    11am to 4.00pm

Meet at: Wacker Quay car park, near Antony; on the A374 between Torpoint and Trerulefoot.
PL11 3AH

Romantic candlelit dinners and bunches of flowers not your thing? Then come and join us for a tidy up and a meet up before spring kicks in; what better day than Valentine’s! We will be strimming, cutting back any overgrown vegetation and low branches, cutting some drain channels to help the flow of water in the lane and checking the overall condition of the trail.

Wear study footwear and be prepared for the weather! All tools, hot drinks and lunch will be provided, however please feel free to bring your own.

Part of the Tamar Valley AONB ‘Helping Hands for Heritage’ project, supported by the Heritage Lottery Fund, to build the capacity of volunteers in the Tamar Valley AONB.

For more information and to let us know if you are coming please contact Sam Barnes at the Tamar Valley AONB sbarnes@tamarvalley.org.uk
