Clubs may apply for grants towards the cost of Paddlesport Leaders and 4* and 5* for club volunteer leaders. Applications must be submitted by 1 June 2017. Qualifications to be completed by 31 August 2018.

The RDT owns and manages a piece of land at the bottom of the Loop and makes the land available to paddlers as an access point. Please support the RDT to cover the costs of managing the land eg tree management, keeping paths and fencing in good repair etc. Suggested voluntary contribution is Clubs – Regular £100, Clubs – Occasional £50, Commercial Providers £30 and Individuals £10 per annum.

THE SOUTH WEST REGIONAL DEVELOPMENT TEAM ANNUAL CONSULTATIVE MEETING TO BE HELD ON THURSDAY 9 MARCH 2017
The Annual Consultative Meeting for the South West of England (Gloucestershire, Wiltshire, Dorset, Bristol, BANES, Somerset, Devon and Cornwall) will be held on Thursday 9 March starting at 7.30pm at the Boat and Anchor, Meads Crossing, Huntworth, Bridgwater, TA7 0AQ. This is very close to Junction 24 of the M5.

Report on the activities of the Committee during the last 18 months.
Financial Report including the award of Grants
Elections of Officers. The whole committee needs re-election and the positions available are:
o Chairman – Currently Paul Carroll and willing to continue
o Vice Chairman – Currently Peter Thorn and willing to continue.
o Secretary – Currently vacant and seeking a nominee
o Treasurer – Currently Jane Evans and willing to continue
o We then have 2 Regional Waterways Advisers, Peter Thorn and Steve Warwicker. Both willing to continue.
o PaddleAbility Officer – Currently Steve Warwicker
o Co –opted members from the Regional Coaching Team lead by Gavin Lewis and Chris Waters as the Regional Coaching Representatives
o Canoeing Representative – Currently Mark-Jan Dielemans and willing to continue
o Grants Officer – Currently vacant.
o Webmaster – Currently John Kent and willing to continue
o Discipline Representatives for marathon, WWR, Surf and slalom
o Sub-groups representatives such as SW Canoe Polo, SW Slalom and the Symonds Yat Management Group
o Club representatives.
