Activities

The PPCA is a very active club. In addition to our wide range of training and coaching, we enjoy a wide variety of activities in canoes and kayaks every year.

The summer provides the main activities for the club including youth sessions on Mondays and regular training sessions for 2 and 3 star awards on Tuesdays. There are introductory sessions on Thursdays and weekends, open canoe sessions on Fridays, and recreational trips on Saturdays. There are also a variety of sea trips through out the year.

In the winter, white-water and surf trips are arranged for every Sunday and the recreational trips on Saturdays continue. These often paddle out to the Breakwater, Mount Edgecumbe, Drake's Island, Bovisand Beach for a spot of surfing (waves permitting), or around other parts of the Devon and Cornwall coastline.
