Activities

The PPCA is a very active club. In addition to our wide range of training and coaching, we enjoy a wide variety of activities in canoes and kayaks every year.

The summer provides the main activities for the club including youth sessions on Mondays and regular training sessions for 2 and 3 star awards on Tuesdays. Wednesdays are for Rainbow sessions when the Paddlepower scheme is followed. There are introductory sessions on Thursdays and weekends, open canoe sessions on Fridays, and recreational trips on Saturdays. There are also a variety of sea trips through out the year.

In the winter, white-water and surf trips are arranged for every Sunday and the recreational trips on Saturdays continue. These often paddle out to the Breakwater, Mount Edgecumbe, Drake's Island, Bovisand Beach for a spot of surfing (waves permitting), or around other parts of the Devon and Cornwall coastline.
