The Port of Plymouth Canoeing Association (PPCA) is a friendly
club with the advantage of a fantastic location. The club
provides training and a full range of activities from gentle
paddles to white-water kayaking. Want to join a

Presentation of Cheque to the Sarah Matheson Trust
At the recent AGM the club presented a cheque for the fantastic
amount of £1,800 to the PPCA's chosen charity of the
year - 'The Sarah Matheson Trust'. The SMT is the support
charity for people living with, and caring for, the neurological
disorder Multiple System Atrophy (MSA). Many thanks to all
PPCA members who helped achieve this total.
White Water
The winter months see a shift from evening training sessions
to weekend white water. White-water paddling is exciting and
gives the participant new and interesting ways in which to
entertain the coaches! The season started in Oct and finishes
mid March. We run trips on many Sundays and some Saturdays
during the season, depending on water levels. More...
Saturday Recreational Trips
These continue through the Winter months for recreational
and sea kayak trips on Saturdays. Wrap up warm though as it

Introductory courses for 2010 - Dates Available
The courses for 2010 are now available. Introductory courses
are run every month from April to September. These courses
offer the beginner the chance to try canoeing and gain basic
skills to 1* award in a friendly and safe environment. The
courses run through the summer months. More..
Summer Season
Starting next April will be the popular training sessions
for 2* and 3* award on Tuesday evenings. Look out for the
program in the Spring. Note: Members need to have completed
1* award to attend these sessions. More...
PPCA Summer Camp on the Isles of Scilly
Dates; Friday 30th July to Friday 13th August. You can come
for any one or both of these weeks. Open to PPCA members,
families and friends. Non paddlers also welcome. The cost
of the campsite is:- £110 per adult; £55.00 per child 12 years
and under. The camp site is described as a “camping village”
and consists of two marquees, ten sleeping tents, wash tents
and flushing toilets. There are also showers available at
the adjacent farm. All sleeping tents are provided with floorboards
and mattresses. One marquee has cooking facilities the other
