Coaching, Leadership & Training

We are fortunate to have many experienced paddlers within the club with a number of qualified coaches and river leaders. As such we are able to put on a varied programme of paddling including a progressive white water programme and structured courses such as that following the PUK Personal Performance Awards.

Whatever the trip you are sure to find an experienced paddler who will be willing to give you help and advice.

We as a club offer during the summer evenings Tuesday night training for the current Personal Performance Awards and a recreational paddle.

During the winter months on Sundays, subject to river levels, we offer whitewater training sessions.

On Fridays we offer a open canoe session and on every Saturday we offer club members recreational paddles, and once a month a longer sea paddle.

The club has a wide selection of boats and equipment which are available for members. The fleet mainly consisting of a range of white water / general purpose ( GP ) kayaks, open ‘canadian’ canoes, sea kayaks and sit on top kayaks so whatever your requirements we have a kayak for you There is also a range of kayaks and equipment available to suit the younger paddlers.

The club is committed to help members to get a coaching or leadership award and can help with the finances – please ask a Committee member for details.
