    Xmas Paddle Saturday 21st December

Well it looks like the next band of wet and windy weather is going to be firmly in place this weekend.
With forecast wind gusts over 40 mph it will be well out of remit for a club paddle. There are not any options for a sheltered paddle up the Plym either.

I will hang on until Friday and decide then before I cancel the paddle but the weather has firmed up now and I’m sure unlikely to improve much.

A shame ☹️ as the Xmas paddle is always a great social occasion.

It is a shame about the weather but that’s a chance we take trying to organise a social event outdoors in December.

Makes me glad that I donned my Christmas jumper and went along to the club social event that Sarah organised a week or so ago. Thanks Sarah, especially as you managed to organise a social event in a pub that stayed open! Most enjoyable.

I was looking forward to going to the club social last week and the pub being open. But unfortunately had to spend the afternoon in the Eye Infirmary having emergency treatment. Next year hopefully for both the social and a Xmas paddle.
