Doug SitchParticipantHi paddlers.
There is some hope of rain Saturday night so conditions could be decent on Sunday.
I am planning to run the Tavy from Tavistock down to Denham bridge, if water levels permit. If no water here, then the fallback plan is the Loop.
For Tavy, we will meet at Towerfield Drive at 8:45
Let me know if you are coming along before 6pm tomorrow.
I will update tomorrow at 7pm.

Kevin JonesParticipantDoug,
How long is a run on the tavy likely to take? I’m traveling Sunday afternoon so might have to make do with a quick blast down the loop.

Doug SitchParticipantKevin,
It is not a short run. Similar in time to Walkham. Better give it a miss if you need to be off early.

EmersonParticipantI’ll be there Doug.

Adam LightParticipantHi,
Would love to join.
Is there any way I could get a lift please? I live in Mutely but also need to borrow a boat and paddle from the club?
Maybe if there’s anyone picking up kit from Mountbatten I could tag along?
I have the other kit already and am confident on grade III W/W.
Many Thanks in advance if anyone can help.
Thank you,

Doug SitchParticipantThanks for everyone posting their intentions – it helps me a lot.
The forecast is not as promising for us as previously shown.
I am hopeful that we will get a trip on the Tavy, although it might be a bit low.
Won’t know for certain until tomorrow morning. Plan to meet at Towerfield Drive (near Tesco & Lidl at Roborough/Woolwell) at 8:45 regardless and go from there.

Doug SitchParticipantGiven the river levels at 6am and the fact that they are still rising, I have no alternative but to cancel the club trip. Sorry guys.
