ModeratorSorry folks I am putting this message up on the forum as it is looking increasingly likely that we will be paddling the Tamar this Sunday due to the river levels but should this change we will be running the Dart with both categories of paddlers along with Chris. The meeting point will be decided on Saturday depending which river but the timings are still the same ready to leave at 0900 hrs (Steve H make that 0830 for yourself please). Either way I think the levels will be good for open boats if you would like to accompany us, but only if you can sing and you know some decent songs! And not “Deliverance”. ๐ฎ ๐ฎ ๐ฎ ๐ฎ ๐ฎ
If we did do the Tamar Chris has offered to do some skills training on the 3 drops above New Bridge for anybody who would like to do that which would be meet up in New Bridge Car Park at 0930 hrs. Either way would you please let us know if you intend to join us and to which group you would like to be included in preferably before 1800 on Saturday evening as I will probably be still trying to get over Australia beating England with a bottle by then. ๐ ๐

ParticipantIf Chris is running a skills session, I will be there. If he doesn’t and the water levels are low I will join Ken on the Tamar.

ParticipantGavin and I will be doing the beginners trip. It will be Gavin’s first time on white water so Tamar will be ideal.

ModeratorThe level on the Dart is .54 which under the minimum and would be quite a scrape. There is a small amount of rain in the forecast but wouldn’t be very sure until the morning what that would produce so rather than mess about have decided that we will paddle the Tamar so for the 3 of you plus George that are coming along please meet at the Tamar Bridge Car Park ready to leave at 0900 hrs. If there is anybody else who lives nearer to Gunnislake then meet us in the Car Park on the Devon side of the Tamar near Gunnislake bridge at 0930 hrs. Not sure what Chris is still intending to do at this time.
Great win by England in the end! ๐ ๐ ๐ ๐
