    The Old Firm is having an awayday!

    ON THE WATER at Newton Ferrers Harbour Master’s for 10.00.

    High Tide is 0636, Spring Low Tide(0.8m) 1255, which means the channel tide will be setting westerly from 1000(ish) to 1600, which could raise a little chop ; The optimistic prognosticator (aka Met Office Plymouth Forecast) is suggesting W 5mph (gusting11) backing and freshening to SW 8mph (17); Multicoloured Dreamland (aka Magic Seaweed) is suggesting 2-3ft swell at Bantham.

    Suggest Small Boats (if available) and helmets;

    Plan A is to explore the myriad channels through the rocks eastward along Yealm Head, giving depth of exploration priority over distance covered.

    The other Plan A, depending on boat assortment and actual as opposed to fondly imagined (sorry, forecast) conditions, will encompass a bit of exploration out to but not east of Yealm Head, a visit to the Mewstone, play on west part of Wembury Edge and rock hop back home.

    All welcome, please signify if coming.
