    Hi Paddlers!

I have had a look at the forecast…. and right now it shows a drop of rain on Saturday evening/Sunday morning…. so we MIGHT be in luck this week!

Mind you, the forecast might change too!!!! I will update nearer the time.

I plan to run the Middle Dart (at present) from New Bridge to Holne Wear.

Arrangements will be as usual – before 9am at B&Q.
    It will be cold!

    Paddlers!
The rain didn’t come to much yesterday and the forecast doesn’t show any more until too late tomorrow, so I am cancelling the trip.

Doug has contacted me reference tomorrow and we both agreed that in view of the forecast it is very unlikely that the river will come up any significant difference between now and 0900 hrs tomorrow but we/I have been wrong in the past few weeks so in the unlikely event that the levels do come up to about .54 or above on the Austin Bridge Gauge at the 0400 hrs reading in the morning I am prepared to have a go if you are still interested. Please give me a ring after 0730 hrs and if it is ok meet as arranged. I think we are all desperate to get back on the rivers again even if it is a bit of a scrape!! Ring me on this number 07790293952 please. ๐Ÿ™‚ ๐Ÿ™‚

Okay Ken, will do. Just in case someone doesn’t know Andy has put a link to the gauges on the Club home page.

Sorry folks the level went up last night and I thought we were on but it didn’t rain as predicted and its dropped again below the .54 level. There is a lot of rain forecast for the day but this will take a couple of hours to raise the level so I am afraid it is a no no again.

Good call Ken. I have just checked the Dunnabridge gauge 0.47 is 6 inches below the slab and at 1:45 pm today it is still only 0.44, plus we would have been changing in all that rain. I don’t think we would have had enough water for even a scrape down at 10 this morning.
