    Hi All,

I’m running a short paddle on Saturday 28 October. As short paddles are usually run on the first Saturday of the month, I thought I would give an early heads up.

Meet at Mount Batten ready to be on the water at 10:30. I aim to be off the water by 13:00. We will stop for a short break somewhere. During the break I will talk about buoys, but listening is very much optional.

This trip is open to all club members but is particularly aimed at those who joined us this summer and don’t yet feel able to take part in the longer Saturday Rec paddle. If you did join us this summer and are wondering if you are good enough for this trip then the answer is yes, you are. Come along, it’s what you have paid your membership for.

Just be ware that it’s October. Wear something suitably warm. Don’t wear anything made of cotton, wet cotton has thermal qualities similar to sitting in an ice bath.

    Any questions please ask.

Copied from Sonia on FB :-
‘I just wanted to bring to your notice that the Saturday is the 26th October and not the 28th to avoid any confusion. I hope you don’t mind me pointing this out. I would hate people to turn up mistakenly on the Monday’

Thanks to Sonia and Andy for pointing out my mistake, or….

Was I hoping for a quiet paddle?

    Hi All,

Well, at the moment the forecast for Saturday is looking good so this trip will go ahead as planned. Meet at Mount Batten in time to be ready to get on the water at 10:30. Those of you using club boats make sure you leave enough time to adjust footrests etc.

See you all on Saturday. That’s Saturday 26 October.
