Hi all,
I have the honour of running the sea kayak trip on Saturday 1 September, you lucky people.
It’s early days yet but at the moment the forecast for Saturday is for light winds so I am planning an away day to Fowey.
We will park at the Caffa Mill car park and launch from the slipway adjacent to Bodinnick Ferry. For those of you that need such things the postcode of a nearby ladies boutique is PL23 1DF. (Either don’t bring your wife or don’t bring your credit card.) The charge for all day parking is £6.
I aim to launch at 10:30 so make sure you arrive in time to get yourself ready.
The plan is to paddle down the estuary to the sea and then turn left to pass Pencarrow Head and have lunch somewhere in Lantivet Bay before returning to Fowey. This will be tide assisted all the way, how nice.
Club boats are available for this trip. To book a club boat please contact equipment officer Pete Anderson via equipment@ppca-canoe-club.org.uk or 07958 694434.
If you do require a club boat you will need to pick it up on Friday evening either before the open boat session, (18:00) or as the open boaters return. (20:00).
I will post again on Thursday evening to confirm details.
