ParticipantHi all,
Our fist sea kayak skills session proved to be very successful, that’s to Adam for running most of the session ably assisted by Karen who did a very good Debbie McGee impression, just as glamorous but with far more kayaking skills.
We are going to have another session on Tuesday 31 August. You don’t need to be an experienced sea kayaker to benefit from these sessions, you just need to want to learn wet skills in a controlled environment and to harbour the desire to enjoy yourself.
It would be useful to know who is going to attend this session. If you know you are coming, can I ask that you let me know please? If for whatever reason you can’t decide until the day that’s fine, just turn up and we will cope.
I have booked all the club Atlantic sea kayaks for this session via equipment officer Pete Anderson. If you wish to use one of these boats please let me know.

ParticipantHello Clive,
Please may I add my name to the list for the Wet Skills session on 31st Aug? I would also need to borrow a club boat too (Red Atlantic). Many thanks.

ParticipantI hope to be there for this second session. Will probably have dried out by then from the last one. Will try not to tie myself into my boat next time.

ParticipantHello Clive, Adam and Karen,
Unfortunately I won’t be able to make the wet skills session on Tues 31st Aug.
If anybody wants to take my space and use of club boat, please let Clive know.
I was really looking forward to it and will be sorry to miss such a useful session. Have fun.

ParticipantSadly, I am going to have to duck out of the wet games this evening.I seem to have damaged my leg somehow and clambering out of and into a kayak would probably not be a good idea. Have fun!

ParticipantThere were 11 people playing with the sea kayaks last night and for some of that time we were actually in the boats. My shoulders ache, arms feel weak and my back is stiff, my ears are bunged up and water keep gushing out of my sinuses. It would appear that we had a most splendid evening!
Thanks to Adam and Karen for sharing their expertise with us mere mortals and thank to all you mere mortals for turning up in such a jolly frame of mind. A very worthwhile session.

Participantmy lovely wife was getting up early with me for work this morning. As I leaned over to rouse her, a gush of salty due from deep in my nasal sinuses splashed her awake. Ah what better way to greet the new day. Thank you Clive, Karen and Adam, the bruising is….subsiding,
