    SEA KAYAK RESCUE SKILLS SESSIONS
The four Tuesday night sessions proved popular with club members and we had up to 12 people out on (and in) the water practicing and experimenting with various sea kayak skills. We try to make these sessions fun but the content is relevant to any sea kayaker. We all make mistakes, or as the popular saying goes “we are all just between swims”.
As always Karen and I felt that we rather ran out of time and therefore we are going to put on one more session, but this on a Sunday, the 4th September.
The plan is to be on the water at Mountbatten at 10:00 and to paddle to an appropriate location. We will try and do mainly dry stuff (may depend on YOUR skills!) in the morning and stop on a beach for lunch. Then we will do guaranteed wet stuff in the afternoon.
Therefore please bring lunch and dress for immersion. You might even want to bring a towel and change of clothing in a dry bag for lunchtime and afternoon. Please also bring any relevant kit like sea tow lines, contact tows, paddle floats and spare split paddle.
THERE ARE A COUPLE OF PLACES STILL AVAILABLE SO PLEASE GET IN TOUCH IF YOU WOULD LIKE TO TAKE PART. This day is not suitable for beginners. Please book on this course either via the forum, Facebook or personal message to Adam on 07834 286461. Book early to avoid disappointment.

Oh Dear. Thundery showers on Sunday and wind gusting to 30 kn from the South. 1.8m swell at 7s. Although it is good to have some conditions, this is rather beyond our remit for the group and we can’t spend a whole day in Sutton Harbour. Therefore it is with regret that I am cancelling the Sea Kayak Rescue day. Sorry. Adam

I am hoping that you may be able to reschedule this on a day that I can attend.
