TerryCParticipantSea Kayak Paddle Saturday 4th June
The sea kayak trip will be from Mount Batten ready to paddle for 10:00.
I will decide the destination nearer the time but I anticipate the trip will be around the 10 to 12 miles distance. There is a very low spring tide around midday so plenty of lovely sandy beaches to select for the lunchtime stop.
The weather and sea conditions appear to be favourable for the weekend. Please post if you are intending coming along. Club sea kayaks can be used for this trip.
Just out of interest Basking sharks have been spotted in Lantic Bay near Fowey. Fingers crossed they continue heading our way.

AnonymousInactiveHello Terry.
Would this one be suitable for me, or too much given my total lack of experience and ability? I don’t mind either way, but would like to get in some longer paddles on weeks when the weather conditions are favourable. Happy to hold fire if you think that would be best, as don’t want to hold people up or be a liability.
Beth
PS – If it was a yes, I would also need to borrow a club boat as the roof rack for my new car has yet to arrive, although is on order.June 3, 2016 at 11:15 am #6026
TerryCParticipantBeth you managed 8 miles last weekend in a sea kayak without any problems and the sea conditions are looking similar or even better for this Saturday. It will be a longer distance paddle but good experience for you. So please come along and join in.
Club sea kayaks will be available to use, I dont expect many if any will be booked out. But if you want a particular boat I would email the Equipment Officer to book it. Pete Anderson. Either e-mail to equipment@ppca-canoe-club.org.uk or via Peteโs mobile 07958 694434.

TerryCParticipantA lovely sea paddle in near ideal conditions with 19 club paddlers out on the water. Paddled from Mount Batten to Bovisand, Shag Stone, Yealm estuary sandbar, Cellar beach, Great Mew stone, Renney Rocks then back to MB.
Approx 13 miles paddled. Well done to Beth, Mark and Jackie on their first club sea kayak trip.
