AnonymousInactiveSaturday’s sea kayak paddle in ON, and I have the pleasure of leading it.
Given the weather forecast and the tides, I’m proposing we go to Rame Head, about 12 miles return trip. The weather is set fair — very light northerly at 10.00 to help us out of the Sound, switching to a very light westerly to help us home, and a cloudless sky most of the day. Tides are neaps, so of little concern to us. Magic Seaweed tells me that the swell will be about 5 inches — all in all, conditions are ideal for a perfect paddle.
Calm as it may be, remember to bring safety gear as well as picnic, plenty of water and sun screen.
If anyone wants to use a club sea kayak, please contact Pete Anderson, equipment officer, on 07958 694434 or equipment@ppca-canoe-club.org.uk
On the water 10.00 at Mount Batten. See you there!
Any questions, I’m on 01803 849163 or 07939 261210, secretary@ppca-canoe-club.org.uk

missingParticipantWhat great weather to go for a paddle.
Hope everyone has a brilliant day out on the water.
I shall not be paddling due to 4x ply bandaging to cover an acute leg ulcer.
I am swallowing high concentration smarties (aka Antibiotics)!
I had thought of putting on a dry suit but its a bit hot
and whether my foot would fit into the suit is another question,
I can only fit on a modified croc!
At least cutting crocs is easy, they are cheap and disposable not quite the same can be said for dry suits!
Hopefully, I will be able to get on the water some time soon.
