    Hi all,

Just a bit of early warning that I am running a sea kayak away day on Sunday 26 May. I have no idea where we shall go yet but the clue is in the name, it will be a paddle away from Mount \Batten and will be for sea kayaks.

I’ll post a plan on Friday.

Club boats are available for this trip. To book a club boat please contact equipment officer Pete Anderson via equipment@ppca-canoe-club.org.uk or 07958 694434.

    Hi all,

I have a plan. It’s far less then cunning but here it is.

We will launch from South Milton Sands, often referred to as Thurlestone, and paddle in a generally southerly direction until we decide that it’s lunch time, then we will have lunch and paddle back. No doubt it will be a paddle of two halves.

The weather doesn’t look like hot and balmy so I wouldn’t expect the National Trust car park to be very full. Don’t forget you NT card or some means of payment.

What3words website give the location of the car park as laying.onions.varifying

We will aim to be on the water at 10:00. I’ll leave you to work out rest of the timing for yourselves.

    There are caves.

As usual it would be nice to know who is coming.

    See you on Sunday.

The forecast for tomorrow isn’t so friendly. Force 4 – 5 WSW wind brings the promise of “quite interesting” conditions off the Bolt Head – Bolt Tail, and I don’t really want to play in “quite interesting” conditions so a change of plan is in order.

The new plan A is to launch at Teignmouth at 10:30, not my favourite place to paddle from but it will provide shelter. The later start time should mean that we can leave home at the same time as we would going to South Milton.

We will meet at the car park on the sea front. What 3 words identify this location as bucks.yacht.tins
