Hi all,
I’m running another sea kayak away day on Sunday 15 August. The forecast isn’t bad so the plan is to launch at Breakwater Car Park, Brixham, paddle to Berry Head then out to sea to see if we can find any wildlife. Then we’ll find a beach for lunch and return to Brixham exploring the caves. Total distance will be between 12 & 14 miles.
Brixham Breakwater car park isn’t very big and gets full. We will launch at 10:00 meaning that we would need to be there around 09:30, which should be early enough for us to find a parking space. The car park isn’t cheap, it will cost you £8.50 to park all day. More bad news is that there is a charge to use the loos. Good paddling though.
Club boats are available for this trip. To book a club boat please contact equipment officer Pete Anderson via equipment@ppca-canoe-club.org.uk or 07958 694434. These would need to be picked up from the club on Friday.
It would be quite nice to know if you are coming.
I will post again on Saturday to confirm details.
