ParticipantHi all,
Just a bit of advanced warning that I am running a sea kayak away day on Sunday 29 July.
At risk of tempting fate, the forecast for next weekend does look a bit summery, (about time too I hear you say) so we should be able to go somewhere interesting. If the superstitious among you could cross your fingers that may (or may not) help.
Anyway, I shall post a provisional plan on Wednesday with a final decision on Saturday.
As usual it would be good to know who is coming.
I live firmly in the dark ages. If you are reading this on facebook it’s not because I have posted it there and it is unlikely that I will see any replies that placed on that platform. In my world the website forum is at the cutting edge of technology. I just thought I would share that.
Club boats are available for this trip. To book a club boat please contact equipment officer Pete Anderson via equipment@ppca-canoe-club.org.uk or 07958 694434.

ParticipantHi all,
The forecast is looking good for our little adventure on Sunday, so here is my plan.
We will launch at Crackington Haven at 10:00. The tide will be going east until approx. 13:00 when it turns, thus we will paddle east and have the tide behind us all day. How’s that for planning?
What3words give the location of the car park at Crackington Haven as braved.officials.shipyards
Crackington Haven boasts all the facilities that you could desire, including an ice cream shop for our after paddling celebration, however, I have failed to discover car park charges. It will be a little surprise for you on the day.
I will post again on Saturday to confirm details but in the men time could I ask that you text me if you intend coming please? That way I can advise you should there be any last-minute changes on Sunday morning.
Finally, Joy won’t be joining us so I will be travelling alone. Anyone want to share transport?
See you on Sunday

ParticipantHi all,
CHANGE OF PLAN.
Sorry to be a pain but I’m reliably informed that going east from Crackington Haven is not very interesting, bordering on the dull, so I have a change of plan.
We will go from Port Quin instead. What3words give the location of Port Quin car park as: ideas.technical.vessel This is quite a small car park so I am going to suggest being on the water at the earlier time of 09:30.
There are no facilities at Port Quin.

It’s not too late for you add your name to my small but select list, just send me a text.
See you tomorrow.
