Saturday Rec Paddle 18th May
An early post about the Saturday rec paddle. It was the intention for the club rec paddle to stop off and join in the Surfers Against Sewage protest at Tinside. Unfortunately the timings don’t work for us. The protest is from 11:00 to 13:00. It would be unreasonable to keep the club paddle hanging around for this long. We will be on the water from 10:00 and heading off away from the area. If anyone wants to join in the protest I would suggest you go along as an individual paddler and join in at the advertised times. Details are on the Surfers Against Sewage facebook page.
The weather is looking reasonable for Saturday. Usual time ready to paddle for 10:00. All club paddlers welcome. You will need to be comfortable paddling for around 4 hours with a lunch break, probably around 6-8 miles.
Please bring any safety kit you have. Towline, first aid, etc.
