    Saturday Rec Paddle 18th April

I am running the Rec paddle for Doug this weekend. Normal on the water time of 10:00 at MB.

The wind is picking up from the East but the sun will be out and a nice low tide just after lunch for some sheltered rock hopping back to MB.

    See you all on Saturday,

    Terry 😉

The wind for Saturday afternoon is set to be strong 20mph+ with gusts upwards of 40mph. I will make an assessment of how sheltered a paddle we can have on the morning and may cancel the club paddle. But I will definitely still be paddling and having a peer paddle.

With the club paddle cancelled a peer paddle was the order of the day.

I really enjoyed that little trip out to Bovisand with the other 11 paddlers hugging the coast on a low spring tide. A lovely lunch on a football pitch sized Cable beach. The weather forecast was spot on 24mph gusting 40mph but well sheltered in Jennycliff bay, although that E wind did change direction a bit!

That final stretch from MB breakwater back to the slipway was just brill.

    Thanks chums,

    Terry
