Please note that due to the Sail Grand Prix racing in Plymouth sound over the weekend of 17/18th July there will NOT be a paddle on this Saturday. The area around the Mount Batten Centre will absolutely packed with vehicles and spectators which will make life extremely difficult to get to and from the Centre. Sorry about this but the racing is pretty spectacular if you wish to view the races and I am sure there will be more details on the start times etc. in the local press and TV/radio coverage.
While I am on this subject there are a number of sail racing weekends during this month where the Mount Batten Centre is used as the base. Unfortunately because of the numbers of boats involved there will be very little parking facilities at the Centre during these times. I know that some of our members who have MB Membership as well will be a bit concerned about this but the fact is that for a couple of weekends where we might have to forfeit the right to park there the plus side is that it provides an extremely large income for the center which, especially after this last year, is desperately needed. Our advantage and benefit is that we can still keep this great facility that we have. I will try to update you in the future as to how much this financial income is.
Thank you for your patience and look forward to seeing you all soon
    Ken
