Saturday paddle, 16 November.

Hi all,

I’m down to run the rec paddle this Saturday, 16 Nov, but as you will be aware there has been a bit of rain so I would rather go out to play on some frothy fresh water. I have regale you with an account of the action that I have taken.

I opened my spaniel eyes and put on my best hang dog expression and then, in my most effective (and annoying) whingey whiny voice I told Joy of my predicament. Whilst it has to be said that Joy is quite happy to see a grown man cry, (especially if that grown man happens to be me) she did on this occasion take pity and agree to run this paddle for me.

So, Joy will lead you salty paddlers on Saturday. Be ready to be on the water at Mount Batten at 10:00. According the forecast summer is well and truly over so along with lunch and all your usual safety equipment warm clothing would be a good idea. (Your Mum asked me to say that.)

Joy will see you on Saturday.
