    Hi Paddlers

It is my turn to lead the rec paddle this Saturday, and just like my last trip I seem to have a problem with wind. At present it appears that the wind will be flowing from the ESE at a speed of 20 to 24 knots and gusting up to 35. I am qualified to lead in anything up to and including a Beaufort Force 4 which has a range up to 16 knots. Some might not be too keen to paddle into such a wind although I have a plan of what could be done. I will make a final decision tomorrow evening but consider that it is unlikely that an official club trip will proceed.

    Sorry about that,

    Adam

Well the forecast has dropped a little but it’s still pretty windy and in the same direction and so I am cancelling the club trip tomorrow. I will be launching from MB at 10:00, headed east if anybody wants a blast in the wind but I stress that this is a peer paddle and not a club activity.
