Good Evening PPCA Members.
I am rostered to lead the Saturday Sea Kayak paddle, it being the premier Saturday of the month. That month being December means that we are in the winter season. And in the winter come storms. The next one is called Darragh. Sounds like we have the Irish to thank?
Darragh is due to arrive on Saturday bringing gusts of 60 knots and a 2.9m swell with an interval of 14 seconds, which amounts to a lot of wave energy. There are lots of very attractive shades of pink and purple on Windy.
I am all for paddling in advanced conditions but the predicted base Force 7 might prove a little challenging, and I rather advise that indoor pursuits or Christmas shopping might be more advisable than salty paddle sport.
See you on a river on Sunday instead?
