Hi all, I am running this paddle. Looking at the MET now, unfortunately it is looking doubtful to go ahead. With not only large swells, it shows strong WSW winds at 15mph and gusts into the 30’s. That said, it might change so I will hold off the decision to go, until Fri eve. It might be possible for a Tamar trip, if conditions improve a bit.

Well folks, the predictions haven’t got worse and not alot better. That said, I am optimistic that after a tricky start and maybe the last bit, we could get enough shelter from the elements, to have a meaningful paddle. You will need to have some sea kayaking experience for this one. It might be that in the morning it looks a bit worse so a decision will have to be made. Intentions to paddle up the Tamar, maybe St John. If you are coming, usual things. Lunch drinks, and any safety equipment you have. If you require a particular club boat, please book via the Eqpt officer. Could you give an indication that you intend on coming please. On the water for 10:00, cheers Andy

Hi Andy, this may be a bit ambitious for my second sea outing(!) so I’ll join the Plym outing instead tomorrow. I hope it pans out OK for you, Bernadette

Hello Andy, I am going to change my mind for tomorrow and go up the Yealm with Terry. Very sorry to let you down and maybe others might turn up.
