ParticipantHi everyone,
Joy has asked me to post this ‘cause everyday’s a holiday for me and she is busy earning a living, blah blah blah.
Saturday’s recreational paddle will be from Bigbury with the aim of exploring the rocks behind Burgh Island and the coast towards Wonwell. (Nearly limitless rock hopping opportunities, how exciting, bring a helmet).
The plan is to be on the water at Bigbury at 10:00. Those needing club boats etc please meet at Mount Batten with enough time to load up cars be ready to leave at 09:00.
People needing transport may like to post here.
Car park charges apply at Bigbury; £6.50 all day.
See you all there.

AnonymousInactiveHi Joy,
I shall be there with the Pod (short for Peapod), together with my minder (i.e. lift provider, boat carrier and head patter when I do something really stoooopid) Mark. ‘Fraid my other minder has swanned off to the Peak District this weekend – she will be so cross!

missingParticipantI shall be going with a car to Bigbury. There is space on my roof for one or two extra boats, in exchange for helping me with the parking charge!
As usual I shall be paddling my sea kayak….
before I go afloat I shall need a screwdriver to replace my foot pegs. I have eventually got a replacement for the broken ones. Perhaps having foot pegs in my boat will make it easier to roll?!!

Adam CoulsonKeymasterSounds fun Joy but afraid that Karen and I will not be able to make it. Have fun – am sure you will,

AnonymousInactiveDidn’t just sound fun, Adam – it WAS fun. Many thanks for organising it Joy – just the right amount of swell to make it interesting all the time, and testing every now and again!

missingParticipantThank you Joy & Clive for a great paddle today.
I really enjoyed it, perhaps too much that I forgot I was paddling a composite boat in among the rocks. Oh well I shall have to do some boat repairs now! Some very interesting gashes and missing gel coat!
