    Hi All

I am down to lead the recreational paddle on Saturday from Mountbatten. It is still 37 hours to go but the weather at present is forecast to be beyond my remit as leader. I have looked at several forecasts (to pick the one I like most) but they all are similar with wind at 14 to 18 knots gusting to 28-31 and some sizable waves at least off shore. However, that can change so I will look again tomorrow afternoon and make a further post.

The weather indoors tomorrow night at the club AGM, however, will be warm and sunny so please do come along as there are a few “extras” planned beyond the normal business of an AGM. We have nominations for almost all of the committee meetings, so don’t worry about being picked on! I hope to see you there,

    Adam

OK everybody, we’re going! It will be quite windy from the south and with a swell from the south west so not sure of route yet but we will paddle. I know it’s a struggle, but the last dark morning of the year tomorrow so please be ready to be on the water at 10:00 with all the usual gear and lunch. It will be warm, but wet.

This paddle will not be suitable for canoes, SOTs or SUPs but kayaks of any length welcome. However, don’t forget that the longer the easier. We will journey at the pace appropriate for the WHOLE group. Do come and join me, Adam

P.S Brim’s trip for beginners will be leaving Mountbatten at 10:30
