ParticipantCalling all sea kayakers.
Our 10th Anniversary of paddling the beautiful Roseland Peninsula is now open for bookings (and yes Clive will be providing his 10th legendary Friday night soup meal)
St. Just in Roseland Outdoor Education Centre has been booked for the weekend – Friday 3rd – Sunday 5th July, 2015.
Accommodation is in bunks in dormitories and the cost will be the same as last year, £38 per person plus catering costs.
The sea kayaking around the Cornish coast here is stunning and always enjoyable, as is the inimitable company of PPCA members.
If you have never been on a Roseland weekend before do consider coming, it would be lovely to see some new faces along with Roseland regulars and Greek salad makers too.
The sea paddles will kindly be led by Terry once again.£10 deposit will secure a place. There will be a limit of 20 places for this weekend so please book as soon as possible.
Please pass to Mary McArdle or contact 01752 881166 / marymca@btinternet.com.Looking forward to another fantastic weekend of paddling and great company.

ParticipantFor any club members wanting to come along to Roseland who have non or limited sea kayaking experience then now is the time to act. To enjoy Roseland you need to be happy paddling the conditions you may experience, some years it is flat calm, others windy with some interesting sea conditions!
By coincidence I am organising some intro to sea kayaking sessions for the club. If you are interested then have a look at the article in the latest edition of Eddylines or drop me an email at terryc1@blueyonder.co.uk
It would be nice to have some new faces along for our 10th year at Roseland. As Mary has already mentioned in her post it is a fantastic place to paddle and for a bargain price.
If you have any questions then please ask. There is plenty of time over the coming months to get that experience in sea kayaks.
Terry 😀

ParticipantPlaces are going fast so please book early if you are interested.
If you don’t have your own sea kayak, one may be borrowed for the weekend, free of charge, from the club.
Please contact Alan Ede, the Equipment Officer to book a boat on 07799556876. It is recommended that you try out your chosen boat on the water before the weekend. Many thanks,
Mary

ParticipantHi Mary, Please can I book two places? Hopefully there’s still room!
April 7, 2015 at 12:14 pm #5420Mary
ParticipantYes Linda and Paul that’s fine.
There are still THREE more places left for paddlers on this weekend and more if folk simply want to come for the walking and social side.

KeymasterHi Mary
Sorry late booking but please can KAren and I come on this weekend. We will need to use club boats – just about to e-mail Alan with regard to this. Am sure can sort the detail later but neither of us will finish work until 18:00 on the Friday and so will need to sort a plan with regard to picking up boats and travelling down, or do you usually go down on Saturday morning?
Thanks a lot, Adam

ParticipantIs there any places left, and if so can I use my fusion
June 2, 2015 at 11:00 am #5423TerryC
ParticipantNot sure who sje69 is?
But if you want to find out if there are any places left then you would be best emailing Mary direct (details are on the first post of this thread).
As to using a Fusion, this is a crossover kayak and not suitable for the Roseland sea kayaking weekend. Club sea kayaks are available to book if you wish to use one.
