Hi All,
I’m running the river trip this Sunday, 3 November.
We seem to be in the grip of a mini summer so the river levels are very low however, the Lower Lower dart doesn’t need much water to make it a worthwhile trip and if nothing else it’s very pretty, so that’s what we will do.
The Lower Lower dart runs from Buckfast to Staverton, it’s an easy grade 2 river and is ideal for beginners. As well as being pretty there is always the chance of seeing kingfishers and steam trains. Also, it’s November. The colours will be stunning.
With the levels being low the river won’t be busy. We’ll meet at Plympton ready to leave at the later time of 09:00.
It would be nice to know who’s coming. If you are reading this on facebook and post a reply there you need to know that I have no access to facebook and probably won’t see your reply. Good old-fashioned text would be perfect. Thanks.
I will post again on Saturday just to confirm details.

Nothing has really changed out there, nor is it forecast to change, so we will go ahead and run the Lower Lower Dart as planned, meeting at the car park adjacent to the Ridgeway Co-op ready to leave at 09:00.
If you want to meet at the river rather than Plympton we will park on the side of the A384 in a sort of layby in between the Dartbridge Inn Hotel and Austins Bridge. What3words give this location as attends.toasted.conducted We will meet there at approx. 09:20.
If you haven’t already told me that you are coming it would be nice to know.
