ParticipantHi all
I have the pleasure of running the river trip this Sunday, 28 January.
Although predicting river levels is a bit of a black art I am expecting the Dart to be “friendly” on Sunday. With this in mind the club trip will be on the Loop.
Doug will probably run a peer paddle on the Upper Dart.
If anyone thinks they would prefer a beginners type trip on the lower Dart let me know and I will add that to the program. I will only organise a beginners trip if people ask for one, but if that’s what you want don’t be afraid to ask.
Can I ask that you let us know if you are intending to attend and which trip you wish to join please.
All trips will leave the Co-op car park in Plympton at 09:00, or meet at the river at 09:30.
Open boats.
Club members who wish to come on either the Loop or the Lower Dart in open boats are welcome on the understanding that they have had some previous white water open boat experience and can provide their own equipment. I hold no open boat qualifications and as such can only provide safety cover.I will post again on Saturday evening to confirm arrangements.

ParticipantI know this isn’t Saturday but here I am posting again, aren’t you lucky people?
Anyway, Cathy has expressed the desire to paddle the Lower Dart in her open boat so this is what we are going to do.
Ken is going to lead the trip on the Loop.
I am going to lead the trip on the Lower Dart.
Doug will probably lead a peer paddle on the Upper Dart.
As per my previous post we will all meet at the Co-op car park in Plympton ready to leave at 09:00, or at the respective meeting points on the river at 09:30. (Salmon Steps Cafe for the Lower Dart, Holne Lay-by for the Loop and New Bridge for the Upper Dart).
I will post again on Saturday evening to confirm arrangements.

ParticipantI anticipate being there for The Loop. It is not my intention to carry out an underwater survey of the riverbed rock formation on Triple 2/3 including the Hole but who knows??

ParticipantWell boys and girls,
It has rained and the river levels were rising late afternoon, but the forecast is for drizzle overnight so I am still expecting the Dart to be at a friendly level tomorrow. Of course that always depends on your definition of friendly.
The trips will go ahead tomorrow as planned.

InactiveThanks for a really enjoyable trip on the Loop today, Ken. My first on that stretch for about 10 months I reckon — so not before time. Some very entertaining antics, so well worth the efforts — thanks everyone!
