    Hi all

I have the delight of running the river trip this coming Sunday, 26 October. I know it’s far too early to make a proper plan but here is an early “heads up.”

    1) There is not a lot of rain in the forecast, meaning that the river levels will drop. Last weekend there was a lot of water around and paddlers took advantage of the higher river levels by paddling away from the Dart. In all probability by the time next weekend comes around the only viable paddling option will be the Dart. The Loop was busy last weekend and next week it could well be even busier. If things pan out as I expect then we will probably make an earlier start, ready to leave Plympton at 08:00 instead of 08:30.

    2) The car park we use in Plympton will be closed next Sunday for a Christmas Fair. I would hate to get roped onto playing Father Christmas, and I can’t really imagine any of you trying to act as one of his elves, so we will have to meet somewhere else. I will make it my job to find somewhere suitable.

I will keep an eye on things and post again on Friday with a bit more of a plan.

    How organised is that?
