    Hi all

I posted this yesterday advertising the incorrect month of October rather than November. We are unable to edit or delete posts so to avoid confusion I have re-posted with the correct month. Thanks to Adam for pointing out my error.

I purposely haven’t removed the comment about being organised for comic effect.

I have the delight of running the river trip this coming Sunday, 26 November. I know it’s far too early to make a proper plan but here is an early “heads up.”

    1) There is not a lot of rain in the forecast, meaning that the river levels will drop. Last weekend there was a lot of water around and paddlers took advantage of the higher river levels by paddling away from the Dart. In all probability by the time next weekend comes around the only viable paddling option will be the Dart. The Loop was busy last weekend and next week it could well be even busier. If things pan out as I expect then we will probably make an earlier start, ready to leave Plympton at 08:00 instead of 08:30.

    2) The car park we use in Plympton will be closed next Sunday for a Christmas Fair. I would hate to get roped onto playing Father Christmas, and I can’t really imagine any of you trying to act as one of his elves, so we will have to meet somewhere else. I will make it my job to find somewhere suitable.

I will keep an eye on things and post again on Friday with a bit more of a plan.

    How organised is that?

    Hi all

Well, the forecast was right and the river levels have dropped accordingly. The Austins Bridge gauge was showing 0.77 at 16:00 today and dropping, but there should be enough water for an enjoyable trip on the Loop on Sunday.

As mentioned in my last post we are unable to meet at the usual car park in Plympton due to a Christmas fare, so instead, and for 1 week only, we will meet at the Coypool park and ride car park. What3word describe this location as emerge, gross.neat What3words. How cool and trendy am I?

As also mentioned in my last post we will meet 30 minutes earlier, so ready to leave at 08:00 please. If you are going to meet us at the river then 08:30 at Holne lay by please.

If you are coming it would be helpful if you could post on the club forum or text me so that I have an idea of who is coming.

I don’t do facebook and my facebook informant is away. If you respond to this on facebook I can guarantee that I won’t see it.

    See you all on Sunday
