Hi all,
Well, the winter solstice has passed, the days are getting longer and spring is on the way. But as well as looking forward to daffodils and snowdrops gracing our landscape, we can also anticipate another 3 months of white-water paddling excitement. More thrills and spills than Alton Towers. (Other theme parks are available) Yippie!!!
Not surprisingly the levels are slowly dropping away, the Dart was running at 0.75 at Austins Bridge this morning. We will run the Loop on Sunday where, no doubt, we will find rocks. This should bring a smile to the faces of any geologists among you.
As previously indicated we will meet at the car park adjacent to the Co-op in the Ridgeway in Plympton, ready to leave at 09:00. (09:30 at the layby adjacent to Holne Weir for those wishing to go directly to the river.) So, a lie in. I am looking forward to seeing what effect this extra beauty sleep has on you all, maybe I won’t recognise you.
As usual it would be nice to know if you are coming along. Posting here or a text would be perfect.
Splish splash,
Clive A
