River trip, Sunday 22 Jan.

Hi all,

Louis and I are down to run the river trip this Sunday, 22 Jan, so whatever happens there will be whooping and hollering.

Although there is no rain in the forecast, I am optimistic that there will be enough water in the Dart to make a Loop trip viable, so that is what we’ll plan. The river is likely to be busy so meet at the car park adjacent to the Co-op in the Ridgeway, Plympton ready to leave a 08:00 please.

Those that wish to meet at the river 08:30 at Holne lay by.

As usual it would ne nice to know if you are coming. I don’t look at facebook so I won’t see any posts there. It’s probably bet to either post on the forum of send me a text.

I will post again on Sat morning to confirm.

Well boys and girls,

Here I am posting on Saturday morning as promised, how reliable am I?

Levels seem to be holding up nicely so this trip will go ahead as planned, 08:00 at Plympton or 08:30 at the lay by at Holne.

It’s cold. Brrrrr. We won’t be stopping for a picnic and a sun bathe; you can leave your bikinis behind.

Glen, I’m looking forward to meeting you. Just to make sure you know what you are signing up to this is an intermediate white water river trip. The Loop is classed as grade 3. White water experience is a necessary pre-requisite for attending this trip. I hope this doesn’t sound patronising but I don’t want you to tur up and have a nasty surprise.
