River trip, Sunday 2 November.

Hi all,

I’m standing in for Pete to run the river trip this Sunday, 2 November. It’s a special day for me and Joy so you’ll have to promise to be gentle with me.

There is some rain in the forecast and levels are holding up from last week, so we will be OK for a beginner’s trip somewhere on the Dart. I will decide exactly where on Saturday once I know the levels.

We will once again meet at the car park adjacent to the Co-op on the Ridgeway in Plympton ready to leave at 08:30. Those wishing to meet at the river I will give you a joining place once I have decided where we will be paddling.

Canoes, otherwise known as open boats, are welcome on this trip on the understanding that I hold no canoeing qualification and can only provide safety cover. Canoeists will need to be of a suitable skill level and will need to provide their own boats etc.

If you are going to come along, can I ask that you let me know please?

Well Boys and Girls,

The river levels are looking good, so this beginner’s trip will go ahead on the Lower Dart.

We will meet at the long-term car park adjacent to the Co-op in the Ridgeway, Plympton. what3words gives friend.rear.empire We will meet in time to swap boats around and be ready to leave at 08:30 please.
Those that live closer to the river we will meet in the lay-by opposite Strawberry Fields café. What3words gives sprains.fades.models Meet there at 08:50.
