River trip, Sunday 12 February.

Hi all,

The dream team of Louis and myself are running the river trip this Sunday, 12 February. A dream team that is better looking than Brad Pitt and Tom Cruise, wittier that Morcambe and Wise and just as organised as Mr Bean meets Baldrick.

The downside is that the atmospherics are more arid than aquatic, leaving our rivers more rising damp than raging torrent and that doesn’t look likely to change over the next few days. Still, that means that it won’t be busy on Sunday so we can meet at 09:00.

So, where to go? We have 3 options.
1) A nice beginners trip on the lower lower Dart from Buckfast to Staverton.
2) A nice beginners trip on the Tamar. (Changing in the mud along with piles of steaming dog phoo.)
3) Do something really scary such as not going paddling but taking the family out instead. (I know, a really shocking suggestion.)

Can you let me know please? Either by posting here or texting / e-mail. I don’t do facebook so any response you post there will be the same as not responding.

If you intend coming but don’t care which river I will still need to know. I will interpret no response a taking option 3 above.

I will make a suitable decision as to what we are going to do on Friday evening and post an update then.

Hi all,

The decision is to have a play on the Lower Lower Dart. Meet at the car park adjacent to the Co-op in the Ridgeway, Plympton, ready to leave at 09:00.

If you want to meet at the river then be at the lay by downstream from the Dart Bridge hotel by 09:20, and could you let me know that you are coming please?
