ModeratorHi folks it is my turn to lead the paddle next Sunday so as usual please meet at the Plympton Car Park at 0845 hrs ready to leave at 0900 hrs. Please leave a note on here before 1800 hrs on Saturday if you intend coming. There is a bit of rain forecast for the early hours of Sunday morning which seems to be the norm this season making life a bit difficult to predict the levels but hopefully if it is not too high we will run the Loop section on the Dart. If you live nearer the Dart please meet at Holne weir Layby at 0930 hrs.
I will update this on Saturday evening. Love to see you all but dont bring any viruses please !!

ModeratorIn response to the Coronavirus outbreak British Canoeing have asked providers to read the current Government guidance on this which is contained in the following documents
● Latest Government information and advice on Coronavirus, number of cases and risk level
can be found here: https://www.gov.uk/guidance/coronavirus-covid-19-information-forthe-public
● Latest Government travel advice and impact for travellers.
https://www.gov.uk/guidance/travel-advice-novel-coronavirus
● Latest Government advice on how to avoid catching or spreading the virus, which is here:
https://www.nhs.uk/conditions/coronavirus-covid-19/
● Earlier this week the Government published an action plan to contain the possible spread
of the virus: https://www.gov.uk/government/publications/coronavirus-actionplan/coronavirus-action-plan-a-guide-to-what-you-can-expect-across-the-uk
We have to take this advice and although there is a minimal chance of catching this it is also impossible to say that you will not. Therefore at this time I would ask that you all read these documents and if you think there is any chance that you may have any symptoms of this virus that you do not partake in any of the Club activities for the set period of time as recommended by these documents. Otherwise I am happy to carry on as planned.

ModeratorThe amount of rain forecast to fall overnight is still not very clear but at the moment it is only light rain so hope that the level is not too high by the time we get on the water. See you at the Car park as planned in the morning. Not too sure why the numbers have dropped away this season and if anybody can enlighten me in preparation for next season would you please let me know. Maybe we only need to arrange these a couple of times a month which would relieve the coaching staff a bit to paddle for themselves more. Your thoughts please!

KeymasterHi Ken. I’ve not paddled so.much this winter…low levels at the start, work, injuries too higher levels, staying in bed.
Not much left now. If not really high, I’ll be at the car park in the morning
Cheers

ParticipantNothing sinister Ken but I paddle 3 maybe 4 times during the week and so have weekend time for family. I may get out tomorrow for a loop run and if so will be at NB by 10.
