Well, the suspense is over. It’s rained, it’s still raining and at 04:00 the rivers were ”uppish” and still rising. Here’s the plan.

Ken has cancelled the club trip.

Those wishing to do the peer paddle we will have a look at the Middle Tavy. If this is too high we will run the Walkham.

There are things you need to know about coming on a peer paddle.

    1) This is not a club paddle and as such it will not be covered by club insurance. ]
    2) You need to be of a reasonable paddling standard. While we are all in between swims if you are coming along expecting to swim then this isn’t a trip for you.

We will meet at Plympton as usual but if you want to go straight to the river meet at Harford Bridge, just outside Peter Tavy at 09:30. The postcode of the adjacent campsite is PL19 9LS.

I don’t have a mobile device with internet access so I won’t have access to either this forum or e-mails until after the trip.

    See you soon.

Thanks for the entertainment boys and girls, the Middle Tavy usually take about 90 minutes to run, today it took us 3 hours. No wonder I ache!

Let’s do it again some time.
