Rec Paddle Saturday 9th June
Hi paddlers as Brim is working this weekend I will now be leading the club rec paddle.
Bit early to know exactly what the weather has in store but fingers crossed for a nice dry day with light winds. We will be going from Mount Batten usual time of 10:00 ready to paddle. Please bring lunch and a drink. I have heard a cake may be on offer as well!
Although the trip leader always carries basic safety equipment and Saturday paddles are usually quite uneventful, the more safety equipment we have as a group the better equipped we are at dealing with anything unexpected that comes our way. First aid kits, spare clothing, whistle, survival bag, means of communication VHF / mobile phone, tow lines etc. Would paddlers please bring along any safety equipment which they have.
This is a club rec paddle so will be a mix of short boats and sea kayaks. All club members welcome.
