    Rec Paddle Saturday 2nd Jan

I have held back from posting to see how the weather is shaping up. Once ‘Storm Frank’ has passed by the weekend weather should be known! The various sites are saying much the same wet and windy come Saturday.

Always the optimist I will hold on until Friday evening and make a decision then as to if a club paddle will take place.

You may have noticed that I changed it from a sea kayak paddle to a general rec paddle. Its been that long since most of the salty paddlers have been on the water I thought it only fair to open the paddle up to all the regulars.

Fingers and toes crossed for a decent weather window in the New Year.

Happy New Year to all club paddlers. The end of 2015 was pretty dire for the sea paddlers and the start of 2016 sees very little improvement in fortune.

As expected there has not been a drastic change in the forecast. Although the wind during the day tomorrow is dropping for while it is still not settled enough for a club paddle. Therefore the club paddle is cancelled.

I am tempted to do a short peer paddle probably up the Plym and get some shelter from the wind for a couple of hours. If anyone is interested I will be at MB for 10:00 and we can decide then.

Hi Terry, thanks anyway for attempting to run and include everyone. If you do a peer paddle please can you let me know who went and where you went so i cna add it to the winter club challenge mileage. We are doing on on this considering its only been river paddles.

    Thanks

    Andy
