    Rec Paddle Saturday 20th

I am running the Rec paddle for Brim on Saturday. If you have not looked at the weather forecast yet please do it makes depressing reading (yet again) 😡

Most of the weather sites are predicting a series of fronts coming in over the weekend with strong winds and some precipitation likely.
The general statistics so far are for winds from the WSW around 25mph with gusts up to 40mph. Gales likely and some light rain/drizzle.

I will post on Friday evening with a decision about if the club paddle will take place.

I have been following the forecasts and not much has changed. Although the Met Office has reduced the steady wind strength down to around 25mph the gusts are still forecast for over 40mph. With low water around 10:30 there is little scope for finding a sheltered paddle anywhere. The picture is not great for being out in the open on the sea and being exposed to the potential gales and strong gusts.

Reluctantly the club paddle is CANCELLED

Fingers crossed for next Saturday and a club paddle.

    Terry
