    Hi all,

I have the pleasure of running the recreational paddle on Saturday 23 April, which as you will be aware is St George’s Day. This will be a normal Saturday paddle but may I invite you all to turn up in some kind of St George themed fancy dress?

With so many vegetarians etc in the club it is very unlikely that we will actually slay any dragons, which is good news for dragons but probably quite bad news if you happen to be a damsel in distress.

As usual for a Saturday paddle on the water at Mount Batten at 10:00. This trip is not weather dependant; we will spend some time on the water no matter what the weather gods decide to throw at us.

    See you on Saturday,

    Clive A.

I should be there. I won’t have time to sort any fancy dress unfortunately.

Well boys and girls, those of you that take notice of such things will be aware that the weather forecast for tomorrow is dry, with a brusque ENE wind and a temperature that will be cool no matter how you choose to measure it.

The plan at the moment is to hug the Devon coast, thus keeping out of the worst of the wind. We are on spring tides with a low tide of 13:42 tomorrow, thus there will be plenty of beaches to choose from for lunch so who knows where we will stop?

St George is looking forward to our colourful efforts, presumably predominately red and white, so see you all tomorrow.

Hope to be there. Unfortunately the St G hat that I hoped would arrive hasn’t appeared. An inner tube that was ordered at the same time did come, so I could wear that. Not very St G or dragon though.

Hi Folks we have been informed tonight that due to the transat race most of the main car park at Mount batten is fenced off. If you are struggling to get a spot in either the other MBC carpark or the free one opposite please ask at reception as apparently they have a overflow car park behind a barrier somewhere.

Sorry for the Short Notice but it was a last minute booking which couldn’t be refused and the centre let us know as soon as Possible.
This fenced area will remain in place until after the bank holiday weekend so will also affect this weeks evening sessions Tuesday and Friday and next weekend too.

    Andy
