KeymasterHi All. As Ian Ruse does not use the internet or computers he has asked me to post for this trip.
We have 2 plans of attack depending on river levels. If there is enough water we will run from Buckfastleigh to Staverton. If the levels are too low we will do some moving water practice and poling skills work near Staverton where we can work our way up and back down.
Ian has also arranged that we can borrow the Kayaks and Paddles Canoe trailer so we wont need to take so many vehicles up. Club boats are available for this trip.
The river will be low and slower running so a great start for those who fancy a go at either tandem or solo river canoeing. It open for all members who are of 2 star standard or above. (if your are close but not taken your 2 star yet please speak to me.)Please post here if you are thinking of joining us and as to if you need club kit or if you have your own boat.
Thank

KeymasterHi All, I have spoken to Ian and the levels low but good enough to run the trip from Buckfastleigh to Staverton.
We will be using the trailer to transport boats from Mount Batten.

Remember its likely to be doing rain showers during the day and wlll be colder so please bring some warm drink food and clothing to change into after. So Far the members who have contacted me about joining us are
Ian – own Boat
Andy N – Own Boat
Jen – Own Boat
Andy Kittle? – Own Boat

KeymasterWhat a good day out with all today. Levels needed that little burst overnight and were just right for the first one of the season. Thanks Ian and Andy for the organization and everyone else for this run in lovely sunny Oct weather.
