    Hi all,

I am down to run what is quite possibly the first ever club night paddle on Tuesday 25 September.

The plan is to launch at Newton Ferrers at 18:30, paddle around the Mew Stone to watch the sun go down, stop on a beach to let it go dark and then paddle back to Newton Ferrers. The forecast is good and as it’s the night of a full moon there is a very good chance of clear skies.

High tide is approx 19:00 so if the weather conditions stop us going out to the Mew Stone we can always paddle up the estuary.

Paddlers will need all the usual paddling gear plus a head torch. (The little white lights we carry on our BA’s are probably not bright enough for this occasion).

I am not going to Mount Batten on Tuesday so if you intend coming on this trip you will need to have your own boat.

We will meet at the harbour steps in Newton Ferrers, which for those needing such things is at grid ref SX540479 and the postcode of the adjacent harbour masters office is PL8 1BN.

An indication of those intending to come along would be helpful.

Sadly I can’t make this. Sounds a lot of fun. Hopefully there will be others.
