ParticipantThere is a little bit of water in the Dart this week…. and a little tiddly-bit of rain forecast, so it looks as if we might have a trip on Sunday.
I expect it to be low low, and plan to run the Lower Dart.
If you fancy an easy trip, then come along.
Usual arrangements.
B&Q at before 9am, Sunday.

ModeratorSorry to be a pain but Doug has asked me to run this Sundays trip and my thoughts are that we only have 3 weekends left so if we are lucky and there is enough water left in the Dart I am going to run this as an Intermediate Trip on the Loop. You folk that have been on the Beginners sessions I am sure will be ok on most of the sections of this part of the river and if not there are places for you to possibly walk around them if needed. At the beginning there is a long stretch of fairly flat water to get plenty of practise in prior to a couple of more demanding sections plus the fact I think the water level will be quite low anyway which in turn makes for a slower flow rate. We can see how you get on there and advise you as we go along.
I will update this on Saturday as soon as I can be sure or fairly sure of what levels we will be looking at. As usual please leave a note on here if you intend to come along or give me a text or phone call if you are not sure or a bit shy! ๐ ๐ ๐
If you live nearer the River and wish to meet us up there be at the Holne Layby by 0930 hrs but please let me know if you are doing this.
Hopefully see you all on Sunday

ModeratorWell good to see a few more names added to the list. Have just looked at the Dartmoor weather gauge and it is showing rainfall of 14.2 mm since 1500 hrs and the weather forecast is showing more rain up to about midnight be that it will be quite light by then but at least it is topping up the levels so as far as I can tell there should be enough for us in the morning so see you all there at B & Q.
Sorry about the late notice but have been watching the Ireland France game. Brilliant well done Ireland!:ugeek:
Ken
PS I don’t see any beginners on the list and hope that the change in programme hasn’t put you off. We would still like to see you! Please let me know if that has been a problem and I will try and arrange something for you next week.
John if I saw fit to have to cancel a Club trip for whatever reason which is generally the last thing I would wish to do, this is what I would do. My responsibility ends there. What you do after this is entirely up to you and anybody else that wishes to take part and then becomes a friends paddle or whatever you would like to call it.February 25, 2017 at 7:40 pm #6441Karen
ParticipantHi Ken, work commitments tomorrow, the only reason I am not taking part. See you next week for some more paddling fun x

ParticipantShowing 25mm rain on Dartcom now. Hopefully it’ll bring the level up a fraction for the morning. See you at B&Q.
