Ken HamblinModeratorWell after a fantastic season of rain for us paddlers it now seems to be drying up which for us gardeners as well, is good in that respect. But as you will see the levels have dropped and there is very little rain in the forecast. Several of us paddled the last one of last season at a level of .56 on the Austin Bridge environmental rivers site so although it will be a scrape I am willing to run a paddle on Sunday as long as it doesn’t go below this. I will update this on Saturday. In the meantime if you wish to come along please append your names here so that I have an idea as to how many are interested in joining us. I know it is Mothers day on Sunday so as a Special treat for them you can bring your mum along as well. ๐ฎ ๐ฎ ๐ฎ ๐ฎ ๐ฎ ๐ฎ ๐ฎ ๐ฎ ๐ฎ ๐ฎ ๐ฎ ๐ฎ
Seriously we will not be too late back. We will meet at B&Q car park at Marsh Mills on Sunday ready to LEAVE at at 0900hrs. It will be the Loop that we are paddling so if you live nearer the venue please meet us up at the Holne Layby at 0930 hrs. This is the penultimate Club river trip for the season so make the most of what we have got left.

Andy KittleKeymasterHi Ken. I’m on call til 08:00 Sunday but if clear overnight and the trip still on, I’ll be there. Not been out for three weeks!
Cheers Andy.March 5, 2016 at 6:34 pm #5897
Ken HamblinModeratorWell as you can see the measure is showing .63 at 0900 hrs this morning on the Austin Bridge site so we are just about going to scrape in. Literally. See you all in the morning bright and breezy.

Adam CoulsonKeymasterMany thanks to Ken and fellow paddlers for a most enjoyable paddle on the loop today. I see skill sets to aspire to and appreciate the odd rescue whilst attempting to develop them! Finally warmed through now. Hate to say it but seeing joy in 36 degrees I’ve got to add “roll on summer”. Adam
